Designed for ocean service and operates directly submerged underwater. Built to meet the highest water immersion ratings such as IPx8 of IEC 529. Submersible to 20,000 ft. in ocean depth.

Reliable and dependable actuations. Unaffected by ambient ocean pressure which means no unintended actuations caused by changing ocean pressures. Unaffected by mineral deposition or silt because the proximity switch is used in conjunction with the actuating magnet (pictured above on the left side).

Switch actuates 1/4 to 1/2 inch and even higher distances depending on the magnet actuator.

Distance between the switches "on" and "off" is tight. The switch hysteresis (distance between “on” and “off”) is a low distance of 0.020 to 0.040 inch. 2 wire system and no power required to operate.

The switch module is the same used in Push Button Switch 1800-210 and Rotary Switch 1822-100. This proximity switch can also be used as a proximity sensor to provide accurate positioning.
